The Victorian Branch of The Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses Inc. is hosting the 2011 National conference in Cairns.
We are convening a joint conference with the Tripartite Colo-rectal surgical society which includes The United Kingdom, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
A National Conference provides a significant opportunity for networking and professional development amongst our peers, but never before have we as a professional association been invited to share our conference with our Medical Colleagues.
As we all work as part of an inter-disciplinary team, what better way to consolidate this partnership!
The program will provide access to key note speaker for both groups, joint sessions with Colo-rectal surgeons and concurrent programmed sessions that address the key issues for each individual group. Not only will parts of the scientific program be combined, but also the social program which includes the option of various sightseeing experiences.
Cairns boasts two of the natural wonders of the world which are the Great Barrier Reef and the Tropical Wetlands of Far North Queensland, and as such is a wonderful holiday destination. Accommodation options are being sourced to include families and/or partners with a significant choice available.
